Why we chose Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a wireless technology standard for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices. The technology was invented by Ericsson in 1994. Since then several specification of Bluetooth were issued, lately the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
BLE (also called Bluetooth 4.0 or BSmart) is the power- and application-friendly version of Bluetooth that was built for the Internet of Things (IoT).
Why are the IoT devices useful? You can track your sport activity, listen to music through your shower head, turn on the lights or control your TV using the smartphone, tablet or wearable you already own.
